Analytics Explained

The Venga Analytics tab gives you valuable insight into client behavior and studio performance. Attendance provides information on total, unique, and first time attendance. Segmentation shows the visit habits of members, non-members, and lapsed clients. Retention displays visit analysis for clients who visit the studio more than once. Utilization contains information on studio booking percentage.

Attendance

The Attendance tab contains three graphs that break client attendance down into three key segments: Total Attendance, Unique Attendees, and First Time Attendees. The graphs can be filtered by Location, Service Category, and Time Period. The data can be displayed by Month, Week, or Day.

Total Attendance

  • Total Attendance includes all visits made to the studio, including repeat visits by a single client.
  • Hover over a data point to see the exact number of attendees during the selected week.

Unique Attendees

  • Unique Attendees displays the number of unique visitors during a single week.
  • Clients who visit more than once are counted as a single unique visitor.
  • Hover over a data point to see the exact number of attendees during the selected week.

  • See how many clients in the filtered period visited for the first time.
  • Hover over a data point to see the exact number of first time visitors during the selected week.

Segmentation

Segmentation divides clients into three groups: Members, Non-Members, and Lapsed Clients. The display can be filtered by Location and Service Category.

Members

  • The members table shows clients listed as Members in MindBody, organized by number of visits in the last 30 days.
  • The table header shows the average number of visits per month for all members combined.

  • Click a segment to display a list of the clients in that segment.

Non-Members

  • The non-members table segments clients who have visited at least once who are not listed as Members in MindBody, organized by the number of visits in the last 30 days.
  • The table header shows the average number of visits per month for all non-members combined.

  • Click a segment to display a list of the clients in that segment.

Lapsed Clients

  • The Lapsed Clients table segments clients who have visited in the past year by the number of days since their last visit.
  • Lapsed Clients does not include clients listed as Members in MindBody.

Retention

Retention contains two graphs and can be filtered by Location or Service Category.

  • Returning Clients charts the percentage of first time clients who returned for a second visit. Data for the past year is displayed broken down by month.

  • Churned Clients displays the lifetime visit count for existing clients who have not visited in the last 60 days.

Utilization

  • Utilization displays the percent of total available spots booked during different periods of the day.
  • Results can be filtered by Location, Service Category, Class, and Time Period.
  • The table can be configured to display results by Location, Class Type, or Instructor.
  • Each day is segmented into four periods, Morning, Midday,  Afternoon, and Evening.

  • Click the graph icon to display a 12 week trend graph.

Staff

The staff tab displays the Venga Post Class Survey ratings received by class instructors.

  • Set the filters and click Submit to view a list of all instructors and their ratings.
  • Click an instructor’s name to open the instructor detail page.
    • Average Rating displays the instructor’s Overall rating, how many surveys contributed to the rating (the number in parenthesis), and how the individual ratings compare to all instructors as a whole.
    • Retention refers to the number of students who returned to the studio after taking a class with the instructor. The percentage for all instructors as a group appears to the right.
    • The right side of the profile is a scrollable list of all the Post Class Surveys that contributed to the instructor’s score.

Conversion

The conversion page of the Analytics tab displays your client conversion funnel from first time visit through purchase of a membership.

  • Manage the displayed information by selecting specific locations, intro offers, client segments, and time frames in the Filters menu.
  • The total number of clients in each segment of the funnel is displayed within the funnel segment. For each segment following Attended First Class, the number of clients is also displayed as a percentage of the number from the segment above.
