Manage Two Way SMS Conversations

Venga’s Two Way SMS Messenger feature allows you to exchange direct SMS messages with individual clients. New and existing Client Messenger conversations can be managed on the Messenger page of the Clients tab.

Client Messenger Overview

  • Venga’s Client Messenger uses a client's listed phone number to send SMS messages directly to a client’s mobile phone.
  • Clients can message the studio's SMS number directly or respond to campaigns received via SMS. Associated SMS numbers appear on the Messenger page beneath the filters box.
  • The Client Messenger menu lists all your conversation, with the most recent messages at the top.
  • Messages are ordered with the most recent message at the top.
  • Unread messages are highlighted in grey with an orange notification beacon indicating how many unread messages are in the conversation.
  • Grey text bubbles in a conversation are messages from the client.
  • Green text bubbles in a conversation are messages sent by your team.
  • Hover over a message from your team to see which user sent the message.
  • Message conversations also appear in the Communications section of the client profile.

Respond to Client Messages

Clients can send messages to your studio using the SMS number your team uses to send SMS campaigns. Messages can be initiated by the client, or can be replies to SMS campaigns and message the client receives from you. All SMS messages are recorded as conversations on the Messenger page.

To respond to a client message:

  1. Navigate to Messenger in the Clients tab.
  2. Click the conversation in the Client Messenger menu.
  3. Type your message in the blank at the bottom of the conversation detail page and click Send.

Create a New Conversation

Dashboard users can initiate messages with clients from the Messenger page. Messages are delivered to the client as an SMS.

To create a new conversation:

  1. Navigate to Messenger in the Clients tab.
  2. Click New Conversation at the top right of Client Messenger.
  3. Begin typing the client’s name and select the client from the dropdown list.
  4. Type your message and click Send.
